Historical- January 20- Huskies!!
The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain Sled Dog Rally, Aviemore, 25th January 2020.
I have been taking photography personally and professionally for over 25 years at this stage and I am always on the lookout for interesting events/ locations or activities that maybe of photographic curiosity to me.
This is what first brought the Annual Husky Rally in Aviemore to my attention over 15 years ago. It made for an idea photo opportunity for a college assignment and now if I am able then I make the trip up to take a few photos and turn my camera on something different.
Set to the amazing back drop of the Cairngorms the event is wonderful and full of lovely people that are so enthusiastic about the sport and the dogs. It really doesn’t matter if it snows or the sunshines (as it did on this trip) there are photo galore to make and discover.
It is strange looking back that this was the last photo trip I made before the world stopped and we went into the grips of the covid pandemic and the seemingly never ending lockdowns. I think this maybe why I never got around to doing anything with or posting these images anywhere but now having found them I am happy to bring them blinking into the light.
